This blazer is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I bought it over the summer and have worn it so many times, but never here on my blog. I figured the best way to show you guys how it could be worn is with all white. Winter white really is such an easy concept to master. My favorite way is to pair your whites with accessories using only one tone (in my case black) as it will help pull the look together. Using a dark hue is the best way to keep it looking seasonal. Voilà !
Unless someone super innovative comes around (like Alexander Wang), the only thing a designer can do is change the cut of something since it has all been done before. If you follow what goes on in the fashion world, then you know 2013/2014 couture is all about a 90s revival.
I mean, Spring 13 was focussed on the overall, while Winter '14 is all about having a plaid moment.
Dating back to the archives, we saw plaid suits up and down the 1995 runways of Versace, YSL and Oscar...so, if you wait long enough, everything comes back into fashion (which is probably why I am such a clothing hoarder). =/
Vintage Dior Blouse AG Motto Coated Jeans Jeffrey Campbell Tiger shoes Balenciaga Purse Sunnies (similar)
When going through the racks of the FIT Style Shop (where I attend school), I was shocked to see this vintage Christian Dior blouse. Besides the colors being so captivating , it is obvious that designer vintage is always a no brainer. I paired it with my tiger printed pony-hair shoes as an effortless way to mix two completely different patterns.
That is exactly what I love about fashion- adding a little bit of unexpectedness will always complete your look.
P.S : Happy Thanksgiving!
When I spotted this jacket on the crazy sale that NastyGal had a couple of weeks ago, I had to have it. Originally I wanted the vinyl pants but, they sold out of my size. This jacket is super tricky because I haven't found it easy to pair with most things. I thought it would be a cool upgrade from a leather motto jacket, but now I see they do not work in the same way. So far, I've found that it looks best over a bright color dress or a black/white combo. One can never go wrong dressing in beloved black and white, as long as you make it unique to your own personal style.
Of course, I repeat clothing. I hate when someone doesn't wear the same top or skirt more then once. It is such a waste!
I just normally don't repeat the exact outfit more then once because I like to find new ways to wear each piece in my closet. And when you get dressed upon your mood, naturally the same outfit doesn't ever happen twice. I recently wore this to my friends birthday dinner but I loved how it looked so I wanted to show you guys on here. Does that make me an #outfitrepeater?
A couple of months ago I did a few posts about photos from a shoot I did over the summer with IAMNYMAG.COM. (Remember this and this ? )The digital magazine launched yesterday and I love how the photos came out!
If you have followed my blog from the beginning then you know how obsessed I was with silver at one point. In Paris over the summer, I found these Maje pants and had to have them. I don't know what my fashion phase is this year..I think right now it's really great Zebra print. A zebra print can either go wrong or oh so right.
