An all white combo is one of my favorite ways to dress, especially in the Winter. For me, the best way to wear white in the winter is to keep all of your accessories dark and in the same color scheme.
I was so excited to shoot these McQueen booties that I bought on sale for my birthday this past October. I've always believed it is best to splurge on jackets and shoes because they are the two most important elements to any outfit. You can be wearing a white tee and blue jeans, but if you have the right shoe with a cool jacket, your outfit will instantly say something different than the person standing next to you.
Mindful Style:
As I get older, I realize that my shopping habits have changed tremendously. I used to be so trend driven and shop on impulse. Every other day I would go out and purchase a new shirt from H&M because it was fast, inexpensive and looked exactly like something I saw on Stella McCartney's latest runway. Naturally, it got to a point where my closet would over flow and when it got time to spring cleaning, I would dispose of half my fast fashion purchases.
After a meeting with Betsy from Mindful Style, I learned that 3.8 billion pounds of textiles are thrown away each year. From being a fashion editor at GLAMOUR, to now working as a sustainable style advisor where she influences her clients in making conscious clothing choices, our conversation reminded me about the importance of quality over quantity. Her mindset on shopping and closet curating is needed more throughout the industry. Learn more about what Betsy does at www.MindfulStyle.com
